Half Term Halloween Activities and Disco

Frank Moran Centre, 12 Melrose Ave, Bletchley, MK3 6PA

Magician and facepainting 2-5pm

Disco 6-8pm

Suitable for children aged 13 and under, under 10s need to be accompanied by a responsible adult. Free for MK3 residents. Call on 01908 370348 or visit the centre to book a place for one of the magic shows (no need to book for facepainting or the disco).

Fenny Poppers Festival

A festival for all the family that includes firing of the historical Fenny Popper (cast iron mug stuffed with gunpowder) at 2pm. Live music and dancing on stage.

Bring a picnic or enjoy food from one of the many food stalls or cafes. Funfair rides, bouncy castles, face painting, candy floss and lots more.

Childrens Vaccination Drop in Clinic

Daisychain Family Centre, Melrose Avenue, Bletchley, MK3 6PS

NHS Health Staff locally are still seeing cases of measles and whooping cough in our region. The best way to prevent these diseases is by vaccination., so the NHS is providing free catch-up vaccination clinics for children up to Year 7 or pre-school age, and for pregnant women.

The next NHS vaccination clinic will take place on Thursday 15 August at Daisychain Family Centre in West Bletchley. There are also clinics planned for the following dates in 2024:

  • Thursday 12 September (09:30 to 12:30)

  • Thursday 17 October (09:30 to 12:30)

  • Thursday 14 November (09:30 to 12:30)

  • Thursday 12 December (09:30 to 12:30)

You don’t have to book in advance and all children’s vaccinations are available. Please see this poster for further details and for more information on immunisations on the dedicated webpage for latest information and list of available dates this year.

Panto on Queensway

As part of the Bletchley & Fenny Stratford Town Council (B&FSTC) Christmas on Queensway event you can come and experience the magic of a Christmas pantomime, suitable for ages 5+.

The Tinder Box is a traditional Hans Christian Anderson fairytale, which will be delivered as a Christmas pantomime, by local performance group Tread The Boards.

Cheer as good triumphs over evil, boo the villains and laugh at the Dame as we follow the story of a soldier, three magic dogs and an eccentric professor for whom a humble tinder box holds the key to health, wealth and happiness

  • Gingerbread house decorating craft table

  • Ugly Christmas Jumper parade

  • Carol singers including the Premier Academy School children

  • Live entertainment throughout the day

  • Hot food, snacks and treats from local and independent traders

  • Meet Santa and ride the land train.

Halloween themed event organised by Bletchley & Fenny Stratford Town Council. Come along for some delicious hot food (vegan and gluten free catered for). There will be lots of themed collectors toy and comic stalls, plus wonderful handmade food and craft too.

Entertainment includes:

  • Win prizes for the best fancy dress (kids and adults)

  • Meet the Ghostbusters and have a go catching your own ghouls

  • Take part in the Mystery trail

  • Face painting and lots more!

Dogs on leads welcome - no booking or tickets required - free to attend

MK City Libraries are bringing music to the Heritage Open Days with performances from Alina Orchestra musicians as they perform several ‘Band in a Van’ concerts. Bringing musical heritage from the 1920s into the 2020s, these interactive concerts will have you toe tapping, arm waving and singing along with songs that appeal to all generations and all musical tastes (you can even try an instrument at the end of the event ).
