Thames Valley Police run a regular community forum meeting for residents in Bletchley and Fenny Stratford (dates and locations are different for West Bletchley residents) and welcome residents from these areas to attend and share their experiences with the police in the local area.

A group of local residents are aiming to get a Parkrun off the ground in 2025 and are seeking like-minded local people to join the volunteering team.

About the Blue Lagoon Local Nature Reserve
The Blue Lagoon is a former brick works site that opened in 1929. The clay pits on the site flooded in 1947, and later they were filled and landscaped. The site officially opened in 1994 to the public.
The Blue Lagoon covers 116 acres and is rich in wildlife. You might see: Badgers Bats Grass snakes Great crested newts butterflies, damselflies and dragonflies And over a dozen bird species.
There is constant footfall at The Blue Lagoon from a number of users including dog walkers, divers, open water swimmers and those who just want some time out and enjoy the fauna and flora. There are some issues with littering especially over the summer months so local residents hold regular litter picks and walks around the nature reserve.

Bletchley 2050 Vision Engagement Event

MKCC is preparing a new future-focused vision for our town called the Bletchley and Fenny Stratford 2050 Vision that will guide future plans and investment.
MKCC are keen to ensure the guide reflects the aspirations of people who live, work, and invest in Bletchley and Fenny Stratford so they are running an online questionnaire and a public workshop. This drop in event on Tuesday 25 February is an opportunity to find out more and share your views at Bletchley Library on Tuesday 25th February, so feel free to drop in 2-7:30pm.
MKCC have recently hosted workshops with local students, community groups and politicians. All ideas and feedback will help create a community-driven vision that captures the diverse needs of all local people.

Bletchley Regeneration Information Event

There will be lots of changes happening in Bletchley in the next 1-3 years, with over £20m of Town Deal Government funding to regenerate our town.

The session will be an informal drop in event with Sam Lennon, MKCC Community Engagement Officer for Bletchley & Fenny Stratford, where residents can ask their questions or provide their views.

Volunteers will support young people aged 18+ running boxing classes at Leon School in Bletchley. An updated DBS certificate will be required and the volunteering role is once a week for 2 hours between 6-70m plus set up and pack down.
Ideally volunteers will have a good level of fitness themselves and passion to support young people in our community.

The Bletchley and Fenny Stratford Green Gym volunteer group meets on Thursdays at 10:45am-1:15pm at Pinewood Drive Community Allotments. You can find the location here on Google maps.

Want to join an award winning team of local gardening volunteers? Look no further!
The Community Sensory Gardens in Church Green Road in West Bletchley is maintained by local volunteers, including Bletchley Lions. In June 2023 the garden was awarded the Britain in Bloom Certificate of Distinction by the British Horticulture Society.
They are seeking local people to get involved and keep the area looking beautiful for residents and visitors to Bletchley. Contact the group organisers Brenda and Jim for further details.
The main garden is home to 32 David Austin roses, herbs, rockery, and a wild flower garden and is funded by donations. Volunteers are always welcome even they are not into gardening as there is a lot of clearing up and weeding.

This will be a community-led friendly ‘sit-in’ style protest to raise awareness of this serious issue in Bletchley and get the message across to residents and visitors that parking on the paths in Queensway is not permitted and that it causes a risk to pedestrian safety.

The church is a member of the Quiet Garden Movement so why not sit and reflect in our quiet spaces? Refreshments will be served on both days. No booking required. Tours are self-guided but there will be volunteers available to help on request.
